know I can set outlook to delete on exit or in mail clean up delete manually. But we want to set outlook to delete the contents of the deleted items folder every 7 days. Is this possible please?

If you mean every 7 days, Right click the Deleted Items Folder, select Properties, Autoarchive, and set the archiving to “Archive this Folder using these settings”, “7 days”, “Permanently delete old items”.

If you mean permanently delete deleted items that are 7 days old, that would require a Rule or code.

Thanks that nearly gets me there – If I don’t want to archive anything else will this work just in this folder

i.e. if I don’t select anything in AutoArchive Setting in Options and just set this one folder to a 7 day delete will it still work please?
