      Hi Coinman

You could try Sector Spy. It’s free and works on most windows platforms.

I was about to add Drive Rescue to the list but it seems the author decided to discontinue it and can’t find a download site. I believe I got Drive Rescue from a non-official page. I think a lounger sig directed me to that page, so maybe DR is still online. If someone has the url…

However, I’ve had some problems with DR’s files recovery. BUT if all you want the software to do is SHOW which files were deleted, DR will do the trick. Choose a directory, and deleted files are shown in a distinct color (Note: files which were cut and are therefore no longer in their former directory are also shown as deleted)

I’ve had great success with Recover4All for the past couple of years, but it ain’t cheap for a utility one uses so seldom!

Norton Utilities also has an unerase wizard as part of Systemworks.
