A user of mine is getting tired of opening up meeting notices just to find that his delegate has already accepted the meeting into his calendar. Is there a way to set up a rule or VBA procedure to delete/move meeting requests that a delegate has already accepted?

One concern that jumped to my attention: Would deleting the meeting request remove the appointment? I believe it wouldn’t, but am unsure.

    TIA!

Deleting the meeting request would delete the appointment if no one had responded. Sounds dangerous to me. The only option I’m aware of is to go the the delegate setup tab and choose to send request “Only” to delegates. This may be too broad a brush…

The object model would let you create a project that deletes requests where the corresponding appointment status is accepted or tentative. I haven’t seen any code that does this. Maybe CDOLive.com has something.
