I have an irritating little problem which I’m sure has an easy solution. I have a field in a table formatted as a general number set to 2 dp. However, when I enter 12.50 via the table or a form, the number displayed in the table or the form is “12”, that is, with no dp.
    What am I doing wrong?
    TIA.

What is the field size? If it is set to Integer or Long Integer, the field will store only whole numbers, regardless of what you enter. In order to store fractions, the field size must be Single or Double.

Thanks Hans. It was set to Long Integer and I’ve now changed it to Double as you suggested but it still didn’t work until I changed the format to Fixed. All OK now. cheers
