    I’m using WXpHe and Office 2003.
    A general date query really, looking to create a general letter report with a default date of today. In the table I show that the default value is today. When the letter is written from a form the date is shown as today. So far no problems. When I view that letter tomorrow ill the date show as today or tomorrow please?

      If the default value of the field is Date(), the field will be filled with the current date when a new record is created, but the value won’t change automatically after that. The user can edit the value, of course.
      So unless the user does so, the field will still show today’s date when viewed tomorrow.

      If you create a calculated column in a query:

      TheDate: Date()

      or if you create a text box with a formula =Date() as control source, it’ll always display the current date: May 19 as I write, May 20 tomorrow, etc.
