Good morning all,

My client has received a DataErr 2279 alert and I can’t seem to find out what it means. Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

You can find out as follows:

– Activate the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11).
– Activate the Immediate window (Ctrl+G).
– Type

? AccessError(2279)

– Press Enter.

You’ll see that it means that the user has entered a value that doesn’t match the input mask set for the field.
