Hi everyone – hope all is well with all of you.

Had a student stump me last night (WHAT you say?) Yep – no clue what the answer is to this one . . . we were using the data form to input data for the first time and someone asked me why the autocorrect functions didn’t work within the data form – for instance, he typed monday instead of Monday and Excel didn’t automatically capitalize the M – he also tried typing MOnday and that was not corrected either. I know (for some odd reason) you can’t save your document while you’re using the form, but this is a new one on me.

    Help, again – please.

Data form is a rather old part of Excel 2002 that hasn’t been updated for years – perhaps it predates AutoCorrect. Data are entered into the worksheet exactly as entered…

Data form is a so-called modal form, i.e. you cannot click anywhere in the worksheet while it is open, neither can you use the menus or toolbars.

I assumed there was no way around this – thanks for confirming it for me. What about 2007? Did Microsoft address these little annoyances?

Thanks for the help, again . . .
