I have a shared file that, when viewed on one desktop, the data will not scroll on the screen. I can move the cursor with my arrows, etc. but the data displayed will not show the cell once it moves off what is already displayed. The formula bar displays the correct formula in the cell, but the cell does not show on the screen. When I move the scroll bars, h & v, the scroll bar moves, but the data does not.
However, when I open the file on another desktop everything works just fine. Could this be a mistaken setting on the first desktop? Or could it be a memory issue (since it has only 256M RAM)?

I might be that one workstation has windows / freeze pains on. Or something to do with headings.

Thank you for the hint. Somehow on that workstation all 1600 lines of data were in the “Freeze Pane” mode. Selecting the entire worksheet and “Unfreeze Panes” resolved the problem. Thank you for your help!

Did I say “pains” – I mean panes. One second thought, given the result, maybe PAINS was correct

Does this only happen with that particular workbook on the problem PC, or with other workbooks too?
Is ScrollLock “on” on the problem PC?

Do you have an intelli-mouse attached to the problem PC?
