We recently replaced one of our uninterruptible power supply units with a new CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD- PFC Sinewave system to support one of our Windows 10 workstations and its related equipment.

We also tried installing several versions of CyberPower’s PowerPanel app in order to monitor the UPS’ performance.

Despite multiple attempts, we have been unable to overcome the error message that, “PowerPanel Personal Service is not ready.”

Prior to installing each PowerPanel version we uninstalled its predecessor using Windows 10’s Apps & features tool.

We have also double-checked to make sure that the computer was properly connected to the UPS.

Any ideas of how to get PowerPanel to work?

Use Revo Uninstaller or BCUninstaller to uninstall the app, allow it to fully scan for leftovers, delete all the leftovers, then reinstall the app.

During installation, if a message box says it has found a previous installation, click the radio button to update the previous installation.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!

        The Revo Uninstaller worked.

PowerPanel is now working on the workstation.

The Revo Uninstaller (free version) worked for me. Cyber Power Panel Personal model LE850G now communicating with Windows 10 PC.

The Revo Uninstaller worked for me as well.  The Winzip one someone recommended wanted me to pay to delete the leftover files, while Revo didn’t.

Sounds like a bug in the installer, so don’t opt to reboot:

During the initial installation of the software, it asks you if you want to reboot the PC but if you select yes this actually closes the installer before it can complete the installation correctly and causes the error when you try and load it.

The solution for “Service is not ready” error is to not restart the computer when it prompts you to during the installation. Turns out, it will not complete the installation properly if you do this. Choose restart later, and the installation program will finish. Then the app should recognize your UPS even without restarting. Cyber Power really should try to fix this.

Anyone able to help with a “Service not ready” for my Personal Panel software that lets me view my UPS surge/back up battery?

The skipping the reboot option fixed it for me. THANKS. What a dumb mistake by the programmers. Don’t they test their work???

I ran into the same problem with my Cyberpower SX650G so I added it to the “Sensors” panel of HWinfo (which is always running in my system tray) so I could monitor it’s status.

      CyberpowerUPS

While HWinfo detected “other values” from the Cyberpower it could monitor, I choice the 3 you see in the attached image as being the most important.

Also, unlike Cyberpower’s Power Panel, HWinfo’s Sensors panel shows real time data (i.e. the data updates as you’re viewing it.)

That is incorrect.  Powerpanel Personal updates in real time as you’re viewing it.  These snips were taken with Powerpanel Personal open over the course of about three minutes.

        Powerpanel-0
        Powerpanel-1
        Powerpanel-2

Same problem. Tried your solution with both IOBit Uninstaller and Revo Uninstaller, but neither worked. After re-installation the issue persists. The installer does NOT ask to reboot in my case, the installation just finishes, the app opens with the error message “Powerpanel Personal Service is not ready”. Tried to install the latest version: ppp_windows_2_4_8.exe

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks.

OK so I ran into the same issue today and here is how I got it resolved. After 3 installs and uninstalls using windows utilities it just kept failing to even load.

I just replaced a hard drive last week on my desktop and CyberPower PowerPanel Personal installed clean and so did the upgrade. There are only a couple of programs installed on it right now so the drive is very clean and windows has not had a chance to have its registry file messed with so I thought perhaps it’s “clutter in windows” on my laptop’s hard drive.

So, I downloaded WinZip System Utilities Suite – it is free.

        https://www.winzipsystemtools.com/sus/download-system-utilities.html

Then I ran the “uninstall cleanup” function – it took a while as I had over 1000 Registry items to clean up but I just left it to run and it took about 20 minutes or so. I also updated some drivers and there is some other stuff I can do later but my focus was cleaning up the registry file in windows so I could install this program.

After using the winzip utility I downloaded PowerPanel Personal (2.4.8) and installed it and tested it. Once I knew it was working I chose the upgrade icon in the software and upgraded it 2.4.8.1 and it installed without any problems. I have tested two UPS ST425 models connected to the laptop and everything is working. I also have a CyberPower LX1500GU3 1500VA 900 watt UPS connected to my desktop and the software works great. All good now.

So…..bottom line, in my case it was junk left over in windows that the Winzip utility cleaned up. Perhaps this might point you in the right direction? I hope it helps.

        Good luck.

I’m running v 2.5.1 initial install failed to work.  This version can uninstall itself so no need to waste HDD space with unnecessary programs.

I re-installed it and initially it said it could not connect with the device, but after I started clicking on different tabs, it started working. This is a poorly designed installation program.

They really need to re-write the program and ensure it’s working properly.

I’m running v 2.5.1 initial install failed to work.

I’m running the same version and it’s working fine.  Been using a Cyberpower UPS for years.

I had the same issue. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled and that solved my problem. Good luck!

I upgraded to 2.5.1 on my Mac, and now can’t get email notifications to work.  Earlier versions used gmail and sent an authorisation code, and last version allowed configuration of any email account, requiring an Apple app-specific password.  In 2.5.1 I can’t het notifications to work with any of my email accounts…

Anyone had similar experience and fixed this?

          Try simple things first:

Uninstall, clean up leftovers, restart computer then reinstall.
