I couldn’t find a right forum to ask, so I’ll try it here.
I need to refresh my memory on Crystal Reports.
I am ready to buy software and install it on my home PC. I do not have MS Office installed though and I will need to have some database to work with and create some dummy Reports. I think there was a way of getting some data with Crystal Installation. Anyone can advise me on that?
    Thanks

I guess the first thing to do would be to figure out what data sources Crystal can work with, what file formats and so on. From there, look for non-office ways to produce that data, or look for sample database files on-line.

I still think that Crystal Installation comes with database of some sort. I am not sure every version does though…My goal is to find which one does.

As this is an issue for the Software Finds and Wants Forum, the thread has been moved there.

I have the basic version of Crystal Reports that comes with Microsoft Visual Studio.NET (2003). Even this version of Crystal Reports comes with the sample database (xtreme.mdb). I’m pretty sure that ANY retail version of Crystal will come with the Xtreme.mdb file.
