Is it possible to create a query row? I have a query that would look similar to this:

    COMPANY……….PRODUCT……TYPE 1…..TYPE 2….TOTAL
    A………………….WIDGET……….3…………….1……………4
    A………………….GEAR……………2…………….6……………8
    B………………….WIDGET……….3…………….1……………4
    B………………….GEAR……………2…………….6……………8
    C………………….WIDGET……….3…………….1……………4
    C………………….GEAR……………2…………….6……………8

Lately, I’ve been copy/paste and editing in excel to make it look like:

    COMPANY……….PRODUCT……TYPE 1…..TYPE 2….TOTAL
    A………………….WIDGET……….3…………….1……………4
    A………………….GEAR……………2…………….6……………8
    TOTAL A……………………………5…………….7……………12
    B………………….WIDGET……….3…………….1……………4
    B………………….GEAR……………2…………….6……………8
    TOTAL B……………………………5…………….7……………12
    C………………….WIDGET……….3…………….1……………4
    C………………….GEAR……………2…………….6……………8
    TOTAL C……………………………5…………….7……………12

Is it possible to do that in a crosstab query?

No. I an query each row has the same structure, so it can’t be done.

However, You can do it in a report based on a crosstab query. If you Group by company, you could sum values, and put the totals in the group footer.

Later versions of Access also have pivot tables, which might provide another solution, but they are not in Access 2000.
