    I am making a flow chart and some connectors don’t want to be straight – they have corners and bumps that I don’t want and can’t explain – see the pic. Any idea how i can prevent this?

      I probably should simply delete this post but since I found the solution, I thought someone else might benefit. I learned there is a connector stencil so I opened it and selected the ‘Bottom to Side’ connector. Now it works fine… although I still think it should have worked correctly initially.

      You could use a connector that just has a single right angle, rather than using a dynamic line connector.

      You can find a good selection of connectors in File > Shapes > Visio Extras > Connectors (on my copy of Visio 2003 SP3)

        Yes, that does bring up the connector stencil – the connector I selected was the top/bottom to side… probably the same one you mentioned. I didn’t see one named single right angle.
