There have been so many critical updates lately, it is driving me nuts to keep downloading on many machines I have been updating.
Is there a way to copy the Critical Update files to another machine and have them run successfully without having to bog down and wait for the 12-18MB to download from Microsoft?
I am running Windows 2000 Professional SP2 on all of these machines, and have tried copying across files located in:
C:WINNT$NTUninstallQxxxxx
the xxxx directories are named after the Q or SP hotfix or update.
I copied these directories to another computer and tried to install from there, but it kept producting errors.
Anyone have a way to do this?
