I have created a locked form (created w/ a table and text form fields), in which I have four or five text fields that contain calculations. The calculations/formulas work fine when the form is not locked (using F9 to update), but once I lock the form, the user is not even able to tab to those fields (they are skipped right over and NOT calculated). Any idea, first, why those fields are not tabbed to and, second, how I might make this form different (other than in Excel) to work properly…? I can send/attach the form, if necessary. Thanks so much for any advice!

If you set the Type property of a text form field to Calculated, the Fill-in enabled property is automatically turned off (and the check box for this property is disabled)

To have the calculation work, double click each form text box that contributes to the result of the calculation, and tick the Calculate on Exit check box.

That did it! I had already tried this option, but had checked the “Calculate on Exit” check box for the fields where the result was to be calculated rather than for the fields that contribute to the result. I was just missing that step/association. Thanks so much – you’ve saved the day!

Awesome… was just having this same problem. Did not realize each contributing cell needed that property. Thanks once again HansV!
