I have a 300 page document that a client wants an index created for showing both the line number the entry appears on as well as the page number. Does anyone know if this is possible? As always, thanks.

      Joanne,

This was done before – look here.
A possible limitation: this apparently restarted the line numbers for each page – don’t know if that is a problem.

For a later thread which discussed that limitation, do a Search here for the words “Index” AND “Line” AND “Number”.

You’re brilliant! Thanks so much for your assistance. I had searched archives but apparently didn’t use the right search criteria. Thank you all, and especially you Gary! What a wonderful forum!
