Create table 'template'

Hello.
How should I set about creating a table to use as a template for future tables?
I know that I could use Themes to use consistent colours etc., but what about setting
the thickness of table borders, etc?

Thank you, that’s very useful.
Can I also ask, is it possible to add a table to a slide master, so that it can be
re-used within the presentation? Andy.

I’m sorry, I don’t know – I don’t have Office 2007. Hopefully someone else will come up with a helpful reply.

Andrew, the answer is…sort of. If you place a table onto a layout (V07-speak for a slide master), you will get an uneditable table on your slide. That’s useful if you create a table to show permanent content on a slide, but not what you are after. The closest V07 can get you is its ability to add placeholders to layouts, whereby you could add a Table placeholder, enabling you to quickly create a table with a single click.

I suspect, however, that what you seek is a ready-built table, all formatted, just waiting to have data added to it. For that, I think you would need a VBA solution, but I’d be interested in what others have to say about that…
