Hello all,

I want to somehow make my powerpoint presentation into a mpg,avi or wmv so I can import it into windows movie maker or some other movie making software…is this possible? I am using a PC not a mac where I believe it is possible to make it into a quick time movie.

Any thoughts

I don’t know how to convert the Producer files, I just downloaded it and had a play, but how about capturing the presentation with something like Camtasia or possibly Action from here http://www.logipole.com/indexe.html%5B/url%5D, a commercial approach that works is http://www.hexisoft.com/powerpoint-to-video.html%5B/url%5D I think it is about 50 bucks

There’s really no great way to do this if you need to maintain animations.

If converting to Flash is an option, there’s a list of converters here: http://www.echosvoice.com/autoruncdlinks.htm%5B/url%5D It’s out of date, but it will get you started. (I prefer and recommend Articulate.)

If you don’t need to maintain the animations, then you can convert your slides to JPGs and use any number of programs that allow you to drag and drop your images into a timeline, add sound, and then render as a movie. Windows Movie Maker is a free download for Windows XP. It will do a good job with this type of thing. Photo Story would be another good freebie option for this type of thing.

Long ago I got on a mailing list for Qarbon. They have a screen recorder which I believe captures your presentation to Flash. Not free.
