Somehow I’ve setup word with language support I don’t want! But I’ve removed any international / language support options I can see and it still won’t behave.
Whenever I type either a single or double quotation mark, it doesn’t appear until the next character is typed, so it knows what to do!! I just want to type what I press – not have MS second guessing me!! 🙁
HELP – how do I remove this helpful feature!
    Many Thanks

          You are welcome.
The other people who had this particular problem and Windows setup are also from Australia. Apparently someone does not realize that the language of Australia is…similar to English.
I am mildly curious as to the common element of the Windows setup. Is MS Windows software making this choice? Or a particular vendor? Oh well, I’m glad your problem is solved. …..J.Till

I suspect this is just us Aussies trying to de-americanise our pcs!
Given the choice between “US” and “..International” – I’d thought it preferable not to be a defacto american.
After all – it’s not a choice between “english” and “international”!
There’s a lot of bits of windows where it seems Bill thinks we’re a state of the US!
            🙂
