Cortana’s strange behaviour

Suddenly, Cortana on my pc is behaving in a strange way. If I ask any question about the weather, she speaks the answer. Then I ask about something else, she brings up a web site. Then if I go to Sound in Control Panel, the sound are greyed out. If I wait a while, sounds work again, and she will talk about the weather, but any other question, like “tell me a joke”, she will not speak, but bring up a web site again, and sounds then don’t work for a while. This is new, I have used Cortana for months without any problems until today ???

Try rebooting. Or try restoring to a previous restore point.

Tried both, no success. Last time (now) I asked “tell me a good joke” it started speaking, and half way though it stopped, and then when I checked Sounds via Control panel, all settings were greyed out. Hope someone can come up with a fix for this!!

OK, I opened device manager, uninstalled all sound drivers, rebooted, went back to device manager, and selected update (sound) drivers. All now fixed !! Hope this helps for anyone else with this strange problem.
