corrupt images (2002 SP-2)

I saved a presentation with several images (jpg’s). I created the file with my PC, and saved and displayed several times with other PC’s. After some time, I am opening the file again, and some of my images come as red crosses or “X”‘s.

I inserted all the images in the slides. They were not linked or referenced in any way to external files.

Why could this be happening? Any clues as to what I should check for to solve the problem or ask our IT support guys? (image size, format, change of powerpoint version or service pack, etc)

That doesn’t sound good. See if RED X instead of graphics and/or Graphics Displayed as Red X in Presentation help.

I copied and pasted a copy of the file I had in a CD, and it works fine. I don’t know what the problem was. Maybe it had to do with the compress option in powerpoint.
