Copy/Paste/Clipboard (Excel 97, sr2)

I am working in Excel 97. I noticed that when I copy and immediately paste it will paste several times the same data but if I perform another feature, it clears the clipboard. I have to copy again and then paste. Why doesn’t it hold the copied data?

That is an Excel “feature” that drives most users nuts. The only answer I know is that whoever coded the Excel Copy/Paste feature decided not to use the normal clipboard.

This is sad to say, but in Office 2000 > you have a clipboard that can do what you are looking for. If you don’t want to upgrade, check some freeware and shareware that can do the job better.
