I am trying to find a way using vbscript to copy the contents of IE’s address bar into variable to be used by the script- — the script opens IE at a defined URL does what has to be done and then opens a new url —I want the script to return the new url to a variable—hope I made myself clear

Where’s your VBScript running? Inside IE, WSH, an application?

Are you opening a new window for the new URL or replacing the contents of the current window?

You’re wanting to return the new URL from IE to a variable in the script that opened the original window, right?
