Not in 2002 but in my new 2003 when ever I copy some text from a web page, even just one sentence, and they try to paste it into a text box, it always comes in as a Table nested inside at least 4 other boxes. I have to enlarge each box to cut it until I get down to the last box which has my text. Even then, if I copy that text and try to paste it into my already made text box, it will again paste as a table with the boxes again……

    any thoughts.

Have you tried using “Paste Special” and then choosing “unformatted text”?

        Thank You!!!!
        That Worked!!!
I never thought of using Paste Special…….

As with many ‘new and improved’ versions, how come they break things when they improve things…….?

        Thanks again.

Answering that question, I suspect, goes beyond the myriad collective skills and knowledge of the fine folks here at the lounge!!

It ocurred to me that a little button on the toolbar that fired a paste-special macro topast your text unformatted would be a useful addition. But when looking at the Publisher VBA help there seems to be no mention of a PasteSpecial method and when I look at the Paste method documentation I see no parameters to control the format of the pasted text. Most curious…
