I downloaded the Trial version and have used it for a day. I decided to enter the 25-digit product Key to activate it to full version. It seems everything went well on the process. But the final outcome confused me. I am not sure Office accepts my product key or not.

Does the attached screenshot show office is still in trial version? Or this trial version will go away in 59-day and the office will go into full version automatically.

On first sight, it would seem it still is a trial. Did you stop Office and restarted it?

Actually I also did restart the PC to make sure it’s “fresh”…twice.

I clicked on the Purchase Product icon and entered the products key there.

If the Products Key entered was not valid, I believe there should be some kind of pop-out warning during the process.

        It’s very frustrated.

I would also try to reboot your PC.

A call to MS activationmay be in order. They are generally very easy to talk to.

The link does not reveal telephone number for my situation. It provides the telephone number only when telephone activation is required. It’s not my case.

Here is what I did to solve the problem.

I uninstalled and reinstall the trial version. This time I entered the full version product key when it prompted for product-key in the beginning of installation. I did not use the trial product key.

This looks very similar to a situation that I encountered, where I had activated a paid-for licence of Office 2010, Home and Business. Microsoft do not make it at all clear, and it looked as if my activation had failed. The “failed activation” was for Office Professional, which, at the time, I did not need or want. I installed and uninstalled three times before the penny dropped.
