In order to run some search software that wouldn’t work on Access 2002, we downgraded the application to 2000. Everything seemed to be running smoothly until I opened the 2000 version. All the tab displays of the elements(tables, queries, etc.) were blank. The database was basically the same size as the 2002 version.

We were able to run the search software program and it was able to find everything, so the elements were there, but not visible. I made sure that the options were set up to display everything, but it didn’t help.

Is this some sort of protection on the downgraded application beyond the “read only”? Or do we have a faulty downgrade process? confused3

      Try the following:
      – Create a blank new database.
      – Select File | Get External Data | Import…
      – Locate and select the problem database.
      – Does the Import dialog display any database objects (tables, queries, …)?
      – If not, there is a serious problem with the database.
      – Otherwise, try to import all database objects into the new database.
      Please report the results.

        Thanks Hans! joy

Yep, when I created a new db and selected Import, I was able to import all the elements which then showed up on the new db. Fortunately, this is just a temporary project and we’re not planning on going back from 2002 to 2000 with everything else.
