    Hi,

I was wondering if I could use Group Policy to restrict the cache size of the Temp internet files in IE. By default it is a proportion of the total disk size, but I want it to be something tiny – like 5Mb.

Can I do it through Group Policy (my method of preference) or do I need to make a registry change?

You can also go to IE options>temporary Internet files>settings and adjust the slider there for folder size.

Thank you Hans, this looks like what I want. I will give it a go.

Viking, I do know that I can manually change it in IE, but I am in a situation where there are multiple users on each machine. They have roaming profiles, which, of course, are now filled with unnecessary temp files and take ages to log on. The thought of having to go to each machine and set the limit for each user was not one that I wanted to contemplate.
