Contacts not always available when creating a new message in Outlook. If you click the To: button, contacts are not a choice in the drop down menu. If you go to the Outlook bar and click Contacts, all of the contacts are there and you can create a new message from the specific contact. I can’t figure out why the Contacts aren’t available from a new message or from the Address book all the time. Any ideas? Thanks…..Carol

In your folder list click on the file that contains your contacts, go to “File”->”Folder”->”Properties for ‘whateveryourfileiscalled'”. Choose the “Outlook Address Book” tab and check the box that says “Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book “. In the “Name of the address book” type in the name that you want to appear.
When you click the “To:” button at the top it will say “Show names from the:” select “Contacts” or whatever you named it as.

      Good Luck,
