Absolutely newbie using Mint Cinnamon Una 20.3 but enjoying. And although using it in Virtualbox for me is the most robust, stable, performant and customizbe OS I’ve know until now. I would like to know how to use Conky and Conky Manager. Could any of you provide me with a tutorial on how to install, use and customize the widgets? Thanks in advance.

I’ve found Conkies drop dead simple in MX Linux and a bit more complex on Manjaro, but I haven’t used Mint in a very long time.
I’d suggest this YouTube tutorial; I’ve always enjoyed these “Don’t Call Me Lenny” videos — always packed with useful info!

On my Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon I used the 4 Terminal commands from this website:
      https://www.linuxmadesimple.info/2020/07/how-to-install-conky-manager-on-linux.html
and the Conky Manager installed and is found in my Accessories section. Neat program, Thank You migongo for bringing this to our attention. I had to play with widget settings to move to top right.

Lars, If you find the way of moving the widget position please share it with us. I’m still trying to move my desktop widget to top middle position, but just editing the conky.config file and changing alignement from top_right to top_middle didn’t work.

I have been playing with my newly added program Conky Manager, and I found a really good YouTube 23:36 minute video that explains how to add more widgets and themes, AND for migongo,
how to adjust and move them around. Must Watch Video. The first 10 minutes are all that I needed, the rest go into deep detail that I will watch later because I bookmarked the YouTube address. The authors name is Tommy Thompson from North Carolina USA. The website has good instruction about installing more Conky widgets and themes, and how to use and adjust, tinker with, so the author deserves to be known. Use the GUI Conky Manager Settings when one widget is selected.
Here are 2 great links to visit for beginners using Conky Manager, How to Use and Adjust:

How to Install Conky Widgets & Themes – Feb 19, 2019
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbr_VtmNda8 – 23:36 minutes,

And following is from authors website with absolutely great must read instructions,

How to Install Widgets & Themes in Ubuntu MATE 18.04 & Linux Mint 20.3 – Great How To:
      https://learnubuntumate.weebly.com/widgets–themes.html

I downloaded the 17.3 MB Compressed Archive from the MediaFire as instructed and followed the directions and now have about 40 widgets and themes. The default was 1 theme, now I have 14, although like the author says, all that used Yahoo Weather no longer work with the Weather bubble because Yahoo discontinued the service. Anyone interested in Conky Manager should visit the 2 links. Good luck and have Fun, and I am totally new to this, so if I can do this, you can probably do it better than me, go for it. And migongo, this is all the help I can give, Visit the 2 Links, Good Luck.
