concatenate different formats

I need the formula to concatenate 2 cells of different types (specifically a date and text). When I try it the usual way (=A1,B1), I get Excel numeric value of the date, not the date itself.

I’ve done this before, but I foolishly forgot to write it down, thinking I’d be able to remember or find it again. No such luck.

You need to convert the date part to text, so assuming your date is in A1 and the text in A2 you should have =TEXT(A1,”DD/MM/YY”)&B1 as the formula
