computer turns on by itself

An Aptiva computer (model 216259C) turns itself on. I shut it down properly and come back to find it turned on. I recently reformated the HD and loaded WIN 98 SE. This has happened 3 times in the past 24 hours.

I think I solved the problem – the Aptiva comes with a program called RAPID RESUME which “wakes” the computer when the phone rings. I went into setup and disabled the RAPID RESUME program. Will see if that truly solves the problem.
