This article from AppleInsider compares the latest info on iPhone unlimited data plans from the major carriers:

    https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/03/29/comparing-att-sprint-t-mobile-verizons-unlimited-wireless-plans-for-iphone-in-2019

In terms of the plans, I had the best pricing on T-Mobile when I had their T-Mobile ONE plan, but I had to switch to Verizon a while back (I’m on Beyond Unlimited) since T-Mobile scaled back coverage here, and I had to move to Verizon to get solid coverage.

One inaccuracy with the article: Apple Music is now free for Beyond and Above Unlimited Verizon customers (the six month free trial is still in effect for Go Unlimited customers).

Verizon has also offered a new plan for children called “Just Kids”. More info here:

      On a somewhat related subject:

I used to be with Verizon for email until it bought AOL and farmed to it the email business, so now I am with AOL[Verizon] for that. I am still with plain Verizon for Internet, TV and landline phone. The reason is that the building my apartment is in is wired for Verizon’s Fios, the fiber-optics wide-band service of Verizon. Once upon a time, there was much talk of companies such as Verizon letting other companies use their wiring (copper or glass) to distribute their signals to their own subscribers.

      What became of that idea?

Ex-Windows user (Win. 98, XP, 7); since mid-2017 using also macOS. Presently on Monterey 12.15 & sometimes running also Linux (Mint).

MacBook Pro circa mid-2015, 15" display, with 16GB 1600 GHz DDR3 RAM, 1 TB SSD, a Haswell architecture Intel CPU with 4 Cores and 8 Threads model i7-4870HQ @ 2.50GHz.
Intel Iris Pro GPU with Built-in Bus, VRAM 1.5 GB, Display 2880 x 1800 Retina, 24-Bit color.
macOS Monterey; browsers: Waterfox "Current", Vivaldi and (now and then) Chrome; security apps. Intego AV

That moves into and out of focus depending on the political ascendancy. It’s better for richer people if things stay uncompetitive as they are, and vice versa. It’s why US gets such a raw internet deal compared to more advanced countries in Asia & Europe.

Ah, for major U.S. carriers… remember, this is a truly international forum 🙂

I don’t know about Verizon, but here, AT&T is the landline provider. There’s a couple of small business DSL providers who are able to use AT&T’s lines to provide DSL for those who don’t want it (through a reseller program), but the issue here is AT&T’s lines are old (if it sprinkles, bye bye Internet). Our local cable provider isn’t much more reliable. For my Internet, I’m using a point-to-point wireless connection from a local WISP which has been as reliable as I can get.
