Combo boxes on form (2003)

I have a form that contains several combo boxes that are associated with different tables. If an user exits out without selecting something from the drop-down, there is an error message. There are times when the record will not have any information until the claim is closed. How can I get it to add the record without populating the combo box field.?

Where does the error message come from? Are the combo boxes bound to required fields?

They are coming from a table and are linked by the primary key from the one table and the data is stored my many side.

That doesn’t tell me much. Could you post a stripped down copy of your database? See post 401925 for instructions.
