combo boxes (2003)

Ok…I have done this over and over and I know I am missing something.

I have a form with several combo boxes….When I go to a new record the box is already populated with the first record in the query. How do I get the box to be blank when I open the form or get ready to add a new record?

what happens when you switch to datasheet view and add a new record? does the combo field auto-populate with the previous record value? if so, perhaps your source for the form has a setting in the field to use a default value.
