    I have a need for the user to select several items that are related. I have 5 combo boxes that contain the same thing. Is there a way to create 1 box and allow them to select the 5 items in the combo box.

      No, you can select only one item from a combo box. But a list box can be set to allow multiple item selection. See post 480,301 for an example of how to do this.
