I have a Dell 1706 digital monitor on an ASUS EN7600GS 512 MByte graphics card (nVidia) I also have Adobe Gamma and have to great satisfaction established a icm profile that matches my printers. (Epson 1160 and Epson Photo RX590) the match is great. What I cannot achieve is how to get this profile to automatically load at startup.
I have downloaded and installed the XP color control panel applet, I have tried the nVidia Control panel but cannot achieve the colors on power up.

See if Dual monitor calibration on Windows PCs helps (even though it’s about dual monitors, the method described there should work for a single monitor too)

Perhaps you have already done this and you have some other issue, but if not give it a try. Right click the Desktop and then click select Properties, Settings, Advanced, Color Management and add or select your profile of choice.
You can select a profile as default.

Thanks Paul, yes I have already done that. In the meantime whilst reading the information from HanV post I discovered a program (free) called quick gamma. Is is easier to configure than the Adobe and the resuls have matched my printer to my monitor. There is more to this than I imagined.
        For information
If you right click the icm (created in Adobe) file in Explorer there is an option to associate the profile with the hardware, I associated it with my monitor but that did nothing at startup, whereas the quick gamma appears to have worked (after one boot).
Hans I know you are always there, I did not get any notification of Pauls reply.

This is the first time in over two months that someone reports not getting a notification. Please let us know if it happens again. Thank you.
