Collate print option not working (Word 97 SR2 on Windows 2K)

I have a user who wants to print several copies of a document, collated. She has checked the collate option in the print set up. But, when she prints, it won’t collate. This is the process she used when she had Windows 95, but the same Word 97Sr2 program. But, now that she’s running the Word 97Sr2 on Windows 2K, she can’t get it to collate. I checked the printer properties and selected collate. No go. It’s the same printer she used before. The ONLY difference now is that she is running on Windows 2K. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I sent a print job to the printer from my 95 workstation and it collated fine. I sent the SAME document to her printer from my Win 2K workstation, and it wouldn’t collate. What’s up? I went into the Printer settings and can’t see anything there.

It’s up to the printer software whether collating is permitted and whether it works correctly.

If you have a Postscript printer defined, try printing in Postscript mode.

Checck with the printer manufacturer for the latest and correct version of the printer software for your OS.
