I’m trying to develop a search form in a database and I am trying to limit what the user sees. I am trying to close the menu bar when the screen opens. In the autoexec, I close all toolbars, but I don’t know how to close the menu bar. I have a new toolbar with the features I want available to the user, but currently, the menu bar is also there. Any suggestions? I’m a fairly new developer, so make it easy!

Not 100% on this, but look at the Startup options, items Menu Bar and Allow Full Menus

The way you do this is to create a custom menubar (right click on any toolbar and select customize) and set the form’s Menu Bar property to that custom menu. In on-line help, choose the Find tab and type in “customer menubar” (without the quotes), then select the item “Attach a custom menu bar to a form or report” for more specific instructions.
