    hi,

I just ran into this weired thing.
for some reason the off 2003 (MULTIPLE items) clipboard feature is unavailable in forms that have popup properties set to true

Is this a bug or is there a logical reason for it?
and if there is a reason for it does anyone have any idea how I can keep using my popup fill-in forms and still have that clipboard feature?

I can’t find anything about this, but no doubt it is “by design”. The Edit | Paste menu option and the Paste button on the toolbar are also disabled when you have a popup form open, but you can still use Ctrl+V or right-click and select Paste.

If your form is a dialog form (Popup = Yes and Modal = Yes), you cannot even click in the Clipboard task pane. If it is popup only (Modal = No), you can click on an item in the Clipboard task pane, but you’ll get an error message. If you then press Ctrl+V, the selected clipboard item will be pasted…

had sort of a feeling that it was “by design”.
too bad. It doesn’t seem nessecary.

The other way you suggested is a little help though.

        Thanks.

I would be pretty cautious in using the clipboard by design in an Access application. Requiring the user to do Cut and Paste is creating the potential for user errors. In most cases you can do the work behind the scenes using VBA and/or SQL commands. Just my 2cents of advise.
