Running Windows 10 Home 1903 Office 2016: Starting today, when I copy/past in Office I get a message  “there is a large amount of information on the Clipboard”. Do you want to be able to paste this information into another program later?

Even if I copy a small amount, I get the message. Also, cut/paste is erratic– it sometime works and sometimes does not work.

With 1903 you have the ability to save multiple items to the clipboard. See Settings | System | Clipboard to turn it on or off and to clear all items.

That message has been around in Office for twenty years though.

In theory, pressing Escape before closing a document or program should avoid it.

It may not help but try clearing the clipboard.
