I copy a full clipboard worth of items from Word. I go to Excel. I select the target cell with my cursor, click on the paste item #1. Nothing. I use F2 to be in Edit Cell mode. Click on #1. Nothing.
I try all sorts of gyrations…click back & forth, try to drag the item, which doesn’t work, but once it seemed like some of the actions involved, shook the paste capability. I can’t figure out the pattern, but *something* happens and all my items will suddenly be paste-able.
Nothing is “ghosted” (unselectable) in this process, and I do not have “mouse gestures” activated.
