If I upgrade Win 10 1909 to 2004, should I uninstall Classic shell before doing it ?

AskWoody PlusFebruary 7, 2021 at 10:50 pm #2341677I’ve never needed to uninstall Classic Shell before moving from one version of Windows 10 to another.
However, sometimes after the new version finishes installing, a message has popped up claiming that Classic Shell is “incompatible” with Windows 10. For a while, Microsoft was even blacklisting Classic Shell’s filename, so that you couldn’t install it (you could get around this by renaming the EXE file), but I think these MS shenanigans have mostly abated now.

Download Open Shell 4.4.160 here.
