      Try the USPS web site.

It may cost you a few bux.

You can purchase a CD of all ZIP CODES from this site.
      http://www.zip.ucg.com
It costs $99.00 + s/h. for a single user CD.
You can obtain a written book for individual states for $10.95+s/h

I’ve got the entire USA zip directory in acsv file, but even zipped it is too big to attach here.
So I filtered just Indiana for you.
(And at a great price) free

Where can I obtain the entire file?

          • #578653

It was donated on one of the defunct newsgroups (Element K I believe?)

It is 322kb zipped, so it is too large to attach here.

So… I would love to share this – any suggestions?
Is there a board or web site somewhere that I could attach a file this large?

Let me know. I’ll keep an eye out here for the next hour or so.

322kb is not THAT large… how about emailing to me at peternroth@yahoo.com?

When you say ‘donated’, … this is a legal ‘copy’, right?

            • #578657

              Yes it’s legal !

The guy sent me an url, which I don’t have any longer. I downloaded it for free – no tricks.
The only catch, is that it dropped the leading zeros for the first batch of Zip Codes.

I can’t use company email to send this, so I will take it home and send it if you’d like.

Is there a way I could attach it to your web page?
Or do you know of a site that does allow this size attachment?

            • #578659

We dont take uploads at our company site.

However, angelfire.com and tripod.com support free websites with a fairly large storage allowance. You might put it on YOUR (new) grin website at either of those hosts.

OK Check out the link. (Man, since I started programming, seems like the mind is always working…)

I was able to post the file on another site.
