I don’t expect anyone to answer, but I thought I’d throw it out there. I am running Citrix 8.00.24737 on Windows XP_SP2. The users are complaining that when they Launch the Citrix Neighborhood after they booted up, it takes almost 2 to 2:30 minutes for it to fully launch. Then afterwards, if they close it and re-launch, it opens instantly. Is it cacheing somewhere?

I loaded the Client on my laptop with WinXP_SP1 and it launches fast (under 10 sec.)

I also found an older Laptop that is running Win_XP_SP2, but using Citrix ver. 7.00 and that works fast.

    Thanks

    Chris

Have you checked Citrix support? Also, here’s a Google Search that has several rerences to XP SP-2 issues.

I think I figured it out, but it is a Hardware/Driver problem.

I am using a Dell Latitude D600 and there is a Wireless card onboard called Dell Wireless WLAN 1450 Dual Band WLAN Mini-PCI Card

When the PC boots up, it can take up to 5 mins for the Wireless card to register the “X” symbol for “no wireless signal”. The problem is the users are impatient and they run Citrix right away. This will force the wireless card to search for a connection and therefore will take 2 minutes for the Citrix Neighborhood to launch. Then the neighborhood finally shows up, so does the red “X” on the wireless network icon in the system tray.

Does anyone know how to speed up the card? If I disable the card, then everything works great, but then I have to show the user how to enable it if they are going to use a wireless card in the future.

      Thanks
