I don’t know what exactly this is, but I’ll take a guess: You’re caught in an infinite loop, because you keep getting redirected back to the same place that you started.
Does this happen whenever you go into Chrome, just when you click on a certain shortcut, or is there some other event which triggers it?
I can use the website but can’t access a particular option on the site. When I try I get the redirect loop error. I can however return to the site home page and successfully access all other options.
I don’t think it’s a simple Chrome error in the browser as all suggested Chrome fixes don’t work. This leads me to think it’s a glitch on the website server. I have now reported the fault to the website administrators so perhaps they’ll fault find and fix it.
Sounds to me like you did the right thing. Even if it’s a problem that rests primarily with Chrome, Chrome is a popular browser. The website may want to revamp that particular option to make the site experience better with Chrome.
On the other hand it sounds like Chrome mostly works for you, which suggests that the problem rests primarily with their service. In this case the web admins certainly need to fix their site.
When you get situations like this, it can be helpful if you try the site using a different browser such as Firefox, Opera, or IE.
I cannot say how prevalent it is now, but, in the past, web sites would “sniff out” what browser you were using and “serve” you the content coded specifically for that browser. This should be (much?) less prevalent now as each browser should be compliant with current web standards and, thus, web sites should also be compliant to current web standards.
Why it can be valuable to try a different browser is because the browser(s) we use most frequently are most likely not in their default mode or settings. Over time, we will have tweaked our browser(s) to suit our personal likes and desires. Using a browser that you do not use very often also means it is very likely still in its default, out-of-the-box state. If the web site issue such as this redirection loop occurs in the other browser, it is then reasonable to assume that it is a site issue and not a browser issue.
I also get the bolded message below after the latest MS Win 11 / Edge updates when opening these URLs that worked before the updates. I have tried using Edge (Version 113.0.1774.42 (Official build) (64-bit)), Firefox (113.0.1 (64-bit)), Chrome (113.0.5672.93 (Official Build) (64-bit)), Opera. Deleted cookies, checked security… ???

It still abends in an infinite redirect loop. Copy/Paste this link. It was already https:// without a www.
https://instagram.com/allprotintandgraphics/
This is from Edge.

Moderator note: Edit to remove HTML. When you copy/paste, use the “text” tab in the entry box or “Paste as text” to avoid all the HTML code.
When you copy/paste, you don’s see all there is to see. Notice that it’s http and the www. in the link. There was a lot of HTML code pasted in the Reply.
Clear your cookies and cache in your browsers. If that doesn’t get it, try disabling any add-ons one by one to see if they are blocking.
