I’ve been with InMotion Hosting long enough (9 years) that I don’t remember the first three or four hosting companies I tried and found lacking in one thing or another.  I’m now on the Power Plan for USD$9.99/month, but I’ve bumped my renewal to every two years because yes, I’m that satisfied.  They use cPanel, which I like.

I have two domains (of an allowed 50) with free SSL which are renewed separately, along with Privacy Protection for both.  My storage allowance is 100GB (on SSD) of which I’m using 2.52GB.  I have 50 email addresses available, and “unlimited” bandwidth.

I’ve tried WordPress a couple of times, but found it to be too restrictive.  None of the templates offered suited my taste. but those that I tried would still balk at what I wanted to accomplish.  I also don’t care for Website Builder software, for much the same reasons.

My websites are coded by me using CSS and HTML, and so changes in the layout and content are quite easily accomplished.  My Windows website is Unleash Windows, and I’m in the final stages of getting it up-to-date.

My bandwidth usage varies quite a bit, from 400MB in one month to 10+GB in another.  Up time is consistently excellent, and I get an email alert about scheduled maintenance which is always short, in the wee hours of the morning, and typically about once or twice a year.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!
We all have our own reasons for doing the things that we do with our systems; we don't need anyone's approval, and we don't all have to do the same things.
We were all once "Average Users".
