• Choose Version when opening a file

I have (and use) both Office 2007 and 2010 on my computer. I want the default to be 2010. When I click a PowerPoint file, i want it to open in 2010. When I click an Access file, I want Access 2010. Somehow, I have convinced Word and Excel to do that, but I’m not sure how. Even when I use “Open With” and browse to the .exe file in the Office 2010 folder, it still triggers the wrong version.

Must be something obvious I’m overlooking. ?
    Thanks

If you are using Windows 7, Click on the Start Orb and then Default Programs. Click on associate a file type or a protocol with a program and you can set your preferences there.

In the Default Programs, I can tell Windows to change programs, browse to the Office 2010 Powerpnt.exe and select it. Next time I click on my file.pptx file, it opens in 2007. Somehow I need to be able to include the path to the application, and this does not seem to do it.
