    Want to chat to someone instantly. What should I use?

    Any suggestions, I’m new to this chatting malarkey!

        i think my own private chat, probably a little app on each pc

          Random Chat: MIRC You can find it here.

          It uses IRC, or Port 6667-7000, and allows you to join many, many rooms and chat with complete strangers.. I was into it at one time… it’s similiar to CB radios.. laugh

      Chat servers are huge resource hogs. That’s why most IPs won’t allow them (unless it’s one they provide). It’s also why we don’t have one ourselves but offer the links to ICQ instead.
