My chart is a stacked bar chart. The source data is dates (Jan 1 – Jan 31), and these dates do not include weekends. But, when I create the chart, it inserts weekend dates into the chart. How can I get the chart to use just the weekday dates that I have in my source data?

Also, I want the data labels to appear just to the right of the bars, not directly on them, because some of the data points are so small that you can’t see the labels. I know I can move the labels one at a time, but I want to know if there is a faster way.

    Thanks!

      Click anywhere on the chart.
      Select Chart | Chart Options…
      Activate the Axis tab.
Select Category instead of Automatic or Time Scale for the Category (X) axis.
      Click OK.

Download and install Rob Bovey’s free XY Chart Labeler.
It has an option to move all data labels at once.
