Changing Character Size Adjustment in Master Slide

I have a template that uses 59 points for the title. When the title is too large and I tell it to autofit the text to the title, it will reduce it down to 53 points and no more, even if that is not enough of a reduction. Is there a way to adjust this in the Slide Master?
