Change Owner or User Name

I am helping a friend with a HP Netbook running Windows XP. We were able to change the “registered owner” name to just “owner”. However, when we navigate to MY DOCUMENTS, the original owner/user name still shows up. When I right click on MY DOCUMENTS and go to PROPERTIES, the “target” name is C:Documents and Settingsoriginal owner’s actual nameMy Documents. How can I change the “original owner’s actual name” to something like just OWNER. Thanks for your help.

Create a new profile with the desired name, transfer, and close out the old one.

That did it – now the computer simply shows “owner”. Thanks.
